The animals listed below are considered a priority as they are at risk of euthanasia in the shelter if they do not find an immediate outlet. Animals on the Priority Placement Portal may need support for behavior issues, medical attention from a private veterinarian, or may be struggling in the shelter environment. If the animal is designated as New Hope Only (NHO), the animal must be taken into the care of a New Hope Partner.
If you are interested in an adoptable animal with a deadline that is not designated as New Hope Only you must complete the adoption process in person prior to the animal's deadline date at the shelter (East or West) in which they are currently housed.
Adoption fees are waived for all dogs shown on the Priority Placement Portal.
If you have questions about why a dog is prioritized for placement, please take some time to review additional information , including our Medical/Behavior Matrix or our Bite Matrix.
