About me Every day is an adventure when you're with me! I'm spunky and fun, but I know how to settle down when it's time to relax. I love playing with kids, chewing on toys of all kinds, and lounging around the house. I'm housebroken, not destructive, and I even know commands! Not only do you get my unconditional love and a new BFF with my adoption fee, it includes my spay surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and even some cool coupons!
09/10/2024 FROM FOSTER: Kendall is doing really well. She loves everyone she meets. She has gone on a couple foster fieldtrips/outings to get to explore and she does great. At home she loves all the toys she can get. She loves to run around until she is completely worn out in the backyard with the kids. She also loves to lay around the house and cuddle on the couch. She is a great combination of active and lazy. My kids absolutely love having Kendall in the home. |
08/01/2024 From Foster: Kendall is doing good. She is such a character and has do much personality! She is good with kids and everyone she meets. She is good with submissive male dogs but she should not be around other female dogs. Kendall loves to play. She loves to destroy all the stuffies and balls she can get. She loves to run around in the yard with the kids. She walks well on a leash and rides nicely in the car. She also loves to lounge around the house and get as much as many pets as we want to give her. |

06/12/2024 Tails Around Town: - Even though high energy, she has simple requirements to keep her entertained. Her most favorite today was fetch. Second on the list was chewing and scavenging for hotdogs. - Great that she is treat motivated .. aided in keeping/ obtaining her focus when needed. - Loved hotdogs, not a fan of bully stick. Granted this was during my timeframe with her. May feel differently about them in her kennel when other options don't exist. - I would shy away from allowing her soft toys are she destroys them quickly. She is even aroused with the hard toys so one must be quick to release it or realize this so be prepared to slow her down or your fingers may be part of the toy taking action. (note: at no time was skin broken, only touched by the teeth) - Found her anxiety level a bit concerning. Seemed at no time could I get her calm enough to not be panting. And no it was not due to heat, increased heart rate. I made conscious efforts to have her in the water, in the air conditioned environments, not external stimulants, etc. yet still she remained some level of uneasy. I get it as I know it was only a few hours and we were also experiencing new things. Merely an observation that I may shy away from adopting out to homes with young children. - She appreciated attention/ affection and reciprocated with kisses (licks). |

05/26/2024 Day Foster per volunteer: • First, we went to my photo studio, to let her rest, but she wanted to play ball instead so we left after about 15 minutes. Then we went to a Sniffspot with a pool and large grass yard. She ran and played fetch for almost all of the time. She looked interested in the pool but didn't willingly go in the pool. Let me put wings and headbands on her and allowed me to take photos and videos. • We then went to eat at Nello's and she layed down by my feet under the table while we ate. She had her own hamburger and took it gently. • We went to a different place to eat, and she wanted to greet the waitress a lot and play with a tennis ball the entire time. She barked to let me know she needed to relieve herself. • Did they need help getting into the car? Yes, she needed a little push because she is short for a SUV • Car rides notes: Slept for a bit, and then went up to the front passenger seat and layed her head down on the middle console. • Did they wear a lead, collar or harness? She wore a martingale. • How did they do on a leash? (pulls, knows heel, stop & go) Pulls at first, then will walk along side. Looks at other dogs, but did not bark at dogs, We only saw 1 dog and they did not react. • What did they eat (treats, lunch) Dog cookie, chicken treats, plain hamburger. • How did they take food? (gentle, grabby, set food down for dog) Very gentle. • Were they returned with a staff member or volunteer or did you return dog to kennel? If so, easy or difficult return, why and how. I am a volunteer and returned her to her kennel. She went right into her kennel and I was able to remove lead and close door. • Any other notes: She LOVES to destroy toys! |
