About me Hi, I'm Morris! I'm a playful and affectionate guy who's looking for a loving home where I can be the star of the show! I'm a smart guy and already know "sit" and "wait," and I'm always eager to learn more. I love to play with toys, especially if water is involved – splashing around is my absolute favorite! I'm also a well-mannered houseguest; I go into my crate without any fuss and am respectful of my space. I can get a little over-excited around other dogs, so I'm looking for a home where I can be the only furry friend. I promise to shower you with love and affection if you give me a chance! If you adopt me...not only do you get my unconditional love and a new BFF, it includes my neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchip! Why wait? Come meet me today!
05/04/2025 From the foster parent: He's doing great in foster care. His biggest challenge is how reactive he is around other dogs. I'm trying to slowly get him used to other dogs when we walk past on walks and maybe get some professional training. He's fantastic with people. Loves to play, loves treats, water, and likes sunbathing. He loves going on walks too, just so much that he does pull and he gets super amped up if he sees or hears other dogs. Likes to bark with other dogs and people walking through the alley next to our backyard, but doesn't bark indoors. Can handle being alone and doesn't destroy stuff in the house. He does occasionally mark stuff inside but it's very rare. |
03/15/2025 FROM FOSTER: Morris is doing great. He loves to play with toys and sunbathe. He seems to do well at home alone when I go to work. Really likes his backyard but can be a little challenging to get him back inside sometimes. There’s a certain toy he’s obsessed with and can entertain himself until he’s tired when I don’t have the time to play. |
02/19/2025 FROM FOSTER: Morris is doing great. He’s settled into a routine and enjoying home life. He’s a great dog. |
01/31/2025 FROM FOSTER: Morris is doing great. He's settled nicely in the house. He likes to play with toys or lounge around on the couch. Can keep himself entertained in the backyard. Really likes playing in water and sprinklers. Very friendly with people. Gets very excited around dogs and pulls pretty hard on the leash (he is very strong). If I had to guess, he just wants to play, but he gets so intense that I haven't really let him get close to other dogs yet. He learns boundaries quickly - like that he shouldn't try to steal things off the counter or table. He's started to resist going in his crate but he's well behaved enough in the house that it's not really necessary. Eats well and is housetrained. |
01/18/2025 From the foster parent: Morris is doing great in foster care. He's very polite and well mannered in the house, loves his crate, seems housebroken, likes playing fetch and LOVES water. For as long as the sprinkler was on, he was obsessed! |

12/12/2024 From the foster parent: I introduced him from a distance to my dog who I use for intros. Both were on leashes. Morris became fixated on my dog (medium sized male) and was rolling/ jumping/ lunging to get to him. He didn’t growl or have foam/ salivation. He was not listening to me but never redirected his attention/ excitement to me. He knows sit and wait. He does not jump on me. He has allowed my husband to let him out of his crate and sit with him in the play yard and also play with toys. |
