About me Hi there, I'm Brandon, a sweet and affectionate guy looking for a loving and patient home. I love human interaction, pets, and snuggles, and I'm also a great guard dog! I'm fully potty and kennel trained and sleep quietly through the night. I enjoy walks (though I might pull a bit at first) and respond well to positive reinforcement. I can be possessive of chew bones and toys and might give a warning growl. If you adopt me, you'll gain a loyal companion who enjoys cuddles, walks, and learning new things. Not only do you get my unconditional love and a new BFF, it includes my spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and even some cool coupons! Why wait? Come meet me today!

12/12/2024 From the foster parent: He's been a great dog! ..... and our Christmas wish is for him to get adopted into a loving and patient home. He has become more relaxed in our home over the last week especially. He has great potential to become a wonderful dog for someone. Please use the photos we've shared to "market" him to potential adopters. Also, we are open to speaking with anyone interested in adopting him to answer any questions they may have and tell them about our experience with him these past 3 weeks. Things to keep in mind that we have learned over the past 3 weeks - - Brandon is quite possessive of chewing bones and toys and loves to bury them. He does not like anyone trying to take them away and will give a warning growl to back off. He may not be good around small children that won't understand this. - Brandon responds well to rewards when giving him commands like sit and stay. It appears that if given a bit of training he could really excel. - Brandon walks well on the leash - he starts out pulling a bit because of his excitement but quickly relaxes and then walks very well. He is rarely reactive to passing other dogs - and if he does react it is very short and is able to be redirected quickly. - BIG bonus -Brandon is fully outside potty trained. All the time he has been in our home he never once lifted his leg on any furniture and he never had any inside potty incidents - even in his kennel. Without instruction from us, he always only pottied on the rocks in our backyard - never on the artificial turf. - He is a great guard dog - he always alerts us to anyone outside our gates to our backyard or whenever anyone is at our front door. - He is kennel trained and will easily go into it when directed. He slept in it extremely well every night with no interruptions. He is a very quiet sleeper. - He loves human interaction and touch and will come over to get pets and snuggles throughout the day. |
12/05/2024 FROM FOSTER: Brandon is a sweetheart. He is getting more and more comfortable in our home and yard. We rarely need to tether him anymore in the yard and he is enjoying exploring more freely. He goes into his kennel well and sleeps quietly all night long |
11/24/2024 FROM FOSTER: So far so good! Last night he slept well in a kennel in our room. He was a very quiet sleeper and slept all night without issue. In the back yard he runs from one side gate to the other. Yesterday we ended up putting him on a long leash and he calmed down in the grass area and pretty much hung out there all day with us. Hopefully, he'll be more familiar with his surroundings and we can let him loose in the backyard with us. |

Brandon’s energy level was medium, strength was average for their size, and walking style would best be described as zigzagging. Brandon’s personality was timid, excited, friendly and Brandon doesn't appear to know any commands. Brandon is not food motivated and not able to determine if take treats gently. |
