About me Hi! Staff are still getting to know me. However, I want to get to know YOU! My adoption fee is quite the deal! Not only do you get my unconditional love and a new BFF, it includes my spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and even some cool coupons! Why wait? Come meet me today!
01/14/2025 from foster: Freddy is good. we’ve begun putting diapers on him at night & while we work bcus he really doesn’t control his bladder well at all, i’m assuming due to old age & lack of training throughout his life. they seem to be doing the trick. he’s eating great, really trying to put some weight on him. he still has some separation anxiety and would do well with a family that’s home more often than not. he’s a lover & adapts very well to new surroundings and people. |
12/19/2024 From the foster parent: Freddy has met our German Shepherd once and did well. He has not yet met the other animals in the house so we are unsure of how he will react as he has been reactive to others in the past. |
12/13/2024 From the foster parent: Freddy is doing a lot better, he’s not in much pain. He has roamed around with our Shepherd and he did great! He likes to sunbathe outside & is learning sit!! He has learned that his name is Freddy finally. |
12/13/2024 From the foster parent: Freddy loves roaming around the house with our Shepherd. He enjoys sunbathing outside and is learning to sit. And, he has finally learned that his name is Freddy. |
11/23/2024 From the foster parent: Freddy is feeling better on his medication while waiting for treatment. He loves his food- wet canned food, currently eating at least 1 can a day (trying to gain healthy weight). He loves bananas, which is a great treat while his teeth are treated. He has met some of our family including kids and a couple strangers and is very friendly- loves people. He was in the same room as our Shepherd and behaved very well. I would love to see him go to a calm home without pets if possible though, so he can relax from here on out. |
10/26/2024 From the foster parent: Freddy is doing great! He is walking better on leash & is definitely potty trained. Now that he is comfortable & has grown to trust & love us quickly, he is showing more separation anxiety. We’re working on this. He can hear well- just stubborn sometimes haha. He loves kibble as food- we rehydrate it & it’s easy for him to eat. He is pooping better now that we’ve dewormed him. He LOVES to burrow under blankets & will sometimes cuddle. He is skiddish to the touch, but still no aggression at all. Car anxiety is still present, but he loves to explore. He’s VERY smart- he knows how to open doors to get out of rooms lol! Doggy gates will be necessary in his home. He is a door dasher. Overall, he’s a great family dog. |
10/14/2024 FROM FOSTER: Freddy is great. he can hear- not sure how well, but he is not deaf. we’re going to train him to walk better on a leash but he is great in the crate when we leave. he’s been sleeping mostly, we’ve been allowing him time to relax now that he’s comfortable. he’s been eating too which is great but he’s been constipated for the most part since pick up yesterday. he’s shown no signs of aggression with being touched or food. he was anxious on the car ride home so we’ll get him used to the car as well. he’s starting to get more cuddly now that he knows us so he just needs to be shown love and he’ll trust you quite fast. he has slight separation anxiety but will calm down quickly. |
10/10/2024 Dog was closed outside during AM cleaning. Handler approached, dog wagged tail and came to front of kennel, then retreated, repeated this movement a few times. Handler opened gate and presented leash; dog would step forward, then whine and move back. Handler stepped one foot into kennel and was able to leash without issue. Dog walked with light/moderate pull. Allowed handler to pet. Handler moved dog to inside kennel. Used blanket to lift dog out of caution, dog did not react and allowed handler to carry and place into new kennel. Easy leash removal. |
10/09/2024 Dog was outside on approach, slightly wary of handler, conflicted, would not come inside; handler closed dog out. At the back gate dog came to handler, allowed petting and leash placement, easy pull. Walked well on leash. Met other staff, allowed petting, solicited attention. Pulled moderately hard on leash. No return issues. |
10/09/2024 Out for a full eval |
10/08/2024 Need full evaluation. VERY shy@@ Avoided handler , staying outside. Remained outside when approached from the back side of the kennel, did not have interest in treats. Crouched, hesitant, avoidant. Did not detect aggression. |
10/07/2024 Very anxious in lobby and on intake wide eyed ears back, pacing and whining on intake, allowe all handling and vaccines with staff hug holding, walked fast to kennel |
