About me Hi there, I'm Mary! I'm as sweet as sugar, friendly as can be, and oh-so cuddly. I adore people and love nothing more than to snuggle up close for some quality time. You'll often find me wagging my tail in excitement when I see someone approach. I must admit, I do prefer to be the only dog in the house. I just want all your love to myself! I promise to be your loyal companion, always there to brighten your day with my sweet nature and affectionate ways. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will cherish you unconditionally.

03/30/2025 Tails Around Town - Mary is the sweetest pup. She was incredibly affectionate, always trying to keep a paw on you (or even cuddle on your lap). We enjoyed a nice long walk with kids in tow - no issues with kids on scooter, ignored other barking dogs around. Pulled on the leash out of excitement and wanted to stay ahead with the kids. At home, very interested in sniffing everything. Played very well with my two young kids, but not interested in fetch. A little anxious in the car, again just trying to get as close to you as possible. With a bit of training, Mary would be a wonderful family dog - you can sense her protective spirit. |

03/14/2025 Playful, Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Takes treats nicely, Somewhat Pulls on Leash, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, Sit, Fun girl. Got the zoomies in the play yard. She said 'hi' to everyone with tail wagging when she met them. Sniffing, Mild pulled a leash on a walk. Loved pets all over. |
03/09/2025 Tails Around Town - We took Mary to the Riparian Preserve for a two-hour walk. At first, she was a bit excited and pulled on the leash, but she gradually became calmer as we continued. She responded well to treats and was at ease with handling—for example, she let us pick up her paws when her leash got tangled. She also had no hesitation taking treats by hand and was comfortable being petted from above. She loved jumping on the benches and laying down between us and rested her paws and head in our laps. She didn't try to interact with other dogs, birds or children. She seemed more interested in sniffing. She seems very trainable and did a good job heeling by the end of our outing. With attention and some training, we think Mary will make a sweet, attentive companion. |

02/18/2025 Tails Around Town - Mary is very loving! She walked very good on her leash, not really pulling, and did not bark at other dogs. I took her to the reserve in Gilbert. She didn’t try to jump in the water or run after the ducks or birds. She does have a good amount of energy. She loves people, very friendly. Car riding, she wanted to be upfront with me but I had her secured in the back seat she did whine a bit but overall was very good. She wanted to cuddle with me at the restaurant, not wanting to sit on the ground. I think overall she would be very good companion dog, especially for a single woman who is active, but probably a great family dog as well. She does like to jump on people - she just lacks training. She also didn’t have any accidents and went right away when we got to the park. |

11/10/2024 , 11/10 4 Paws Mutt Strutt public walk. Mary was interested and aware of other dogs while on their walk. Mary’s energy level was medium, strength was average for their size, and walking style would best be described as pulling. Mary’s personality was gentle, curious, alert, excited, independent, friendly and Mary doesn't appear to know any commands. Mary is not food motivated and does not take treats gently. |
