About me Hi, I'm Charger! I am a gentle, mellow boy with so much to give! Although I have wonderful leash manners, I am a homebody who prefers very short walks and lounging around. I am potty trained, not much of a barker and I do just fine on my own while my person is away! I will always accept affection and love being near people, but I won't demand your attention by any means! My only stipulation is I don't get along with other dogs.

04/10/2025 Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Not interested in treats, Easy/Loose Leash, Calm, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, Very calm. Went for short walk, after reading foster notes. Started dragging back legs towards end of walk and didn't want to go to yard. Was laying on ground in kennel after return, seemed to like the blanket on the floor. |
03/20/2025 FROM FOSTER: Charger has been comfortable with our routine. Two short walks per day. Each time he is eager to get out and then eager to come back home. When he hears a neighbor's small dog barking over the fence, he likes to bark back. Otherwise he is quiet and calm. He always greets me at the door when I return home, and after a few pets he settles back down. His leg stiffness seems to be improving with the help of joint supplements added to his meals, and he is now slightly quicker and more confident in his movements. |
03/11/2025 From foster: Charger has been doing great. He is now comfortable lying out in the yard on his own, but most of the time prefers to stay close to me. He has been more expressive with his body language but is very much the same calm gentle boy. Zero accidents in the house, no destruction (free roam), no apparent separation anxiety. |
03/07/2025 Placing back up for adoption based off previous level and observations. Due to canine's behavior in previous home with other dog, canine needs to be an only dog in the household. |
02/13/2025 FROM FOSTER: Charger has continued to be a wonderfully calm companion. He has free roam in the home and has been totally non-destructive. He enjoys his walks and is very easy on the leash, no pulling. At home he prefers to relax indoors, generally going to the yard only to relieve himself. He is happy to let me attend to my tasks while he hangs out next to me, often lying on his back with his feet in the air. He graciously accepts pets but is not demanding of attention. Because of some stiffness in his legs, Charger needs help going in and out of vehicles, but he has let me carry him without issue. |
02/08/2025 From the foster parent: Charger's first night was as smooth as can be. He has been very calm despite the new environment. He appears completely housetrained and is a quiet, affectionate boy. I have not heard him bark or seen him jump. Charger has potential to be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a sweet, easy-going dog who doesn't require much physical activity. |
