About me Are you looking for a gal with “low-rider” status that is ready to be a house companion? Then come meet me! Hi, my name is Roberta and I am very respectful, kind, and curious. I am an older gal with some spunk - put my leash and harness on and I am ready to go on an exploratory stroll! I am chill and non-reactive around other dogs of all sizes. I need to work on my leash manners a bit, but that’s because I am so excited to sniff new things. That being said, after 2 miles I get a little tired and it’s time for a siesta. I am happily a couch buddy whenever you want one. I get along great with men and women.
02/13/2025 Out for a few minutes for morning cleaning, dog is very sick. |
02/12/2025 Out for Green training. |
02/09/2025 Mutt Strut: Roberta was interested and aware of other dogs while on their walk. Roberta’s energy level was low, strength was average for their size, and walking style would best be described as loose leashed. Roberta’s personality was calm, gentle, affectionate, friendly and Roberta sits on command. Roberta is not food motivated and not able to determine if take treats gently. |
02/08/2025 Tails Around Town - My partner and I took Roberta to the Desert Botanical Garden and she did great! They had dogs of all sizes there and she was non-reactive to all of them. She was very respectful, kind and curious and got along great with men and women. |

02/06/2025 Out for ten minutes for morning cleaning, no issues. |
02/04/2025 Took to offsite event at Petco. Was calm and laying down when approached kennel. Tail began wagging when unlocking door. Easy to leash and light/loose leash pull when transporting to van. Allowed to be picked up and assisted getting into van. Quiet on ride over. Quiet on site. A couple instances of pulling on wire kennel sides but easily corrected. Doesnt appear interested in toys/treats. Easy return. |
02/01/2025 Out for AM cleaning. Easy to leash. Dog walked calmly on leash, no reaction to nearby barking dogs. Affiliative in yard, allowing all petting. Explored with relaxed body language. Took a few treats gently. On return, dog was hesitant to enter kennel; handler stepped inside and coaxed dog in, then stepped out. Removed leash by hand. |
01/30/2025 Moved dog to new 5-pack kennel. Easy to leash. Walked with light pull, no reaction to passing dogs. Handler took dog to yard for a few minutes. Dog explored with relaxed body language. Allowed all petting and sought attention. Entered new kennel easily. Removed leash by hand. |
01/29/2025 Dog came to front of kennel when handler approached. Dog had soft, relaxed body language and gentle wagging tail. Took treats through gate. Remained calm for entire interaction. Making adoptable at "green" level based on intake/behavior notes and in-kennel interaction. "No Small Animals" requirement based on finder notes. |
