02/19/2025 his behavior is more green, he did not pull and allowed affection all over. took all the treats nicely. and ignored the dogs that he could see from the play yard even with them barking and he did not bark once. |

I asked him to sit before I would open kennel and leash and he did do that. On walk he was calm and slightly timid of the environment. He allowed petting and for me to place a bandana on him. No reaction to any dogs on return. |

02/04/2025 K9 at front of kennel with a neutral body, wide eyed, ears back when handler approached; handler presented treats and took them gently through gate; handler opened kennel and K9 allowed leash placement with no issue; low wagging tail; moderate pull to play yard; ignored barking dogs; once in yard sniffed/explored; came up to handler and allowed petting all over; K9 would lean in for more pets; took treats gently from hand; volunteer was walking a dog by play yard and K9 walked over to fence with a low tail wag; K9 did not react; moderate to little pull on return; once entering building K9 did not want to enter kennel; neighboring dogs were barking; K9 went up to kennel to sniff them; handler applied leash pressure to guide K9 in; K9 pulled back on leash; handler tried stepping in kennel but K9 immediately went in; handler slightly closed gate; K9 tried to push out but handler placed foot by gate; handler was able to remove leash with no issue. ***Placing older children reccomendation due to intake notes of K9 air snapping/low growling at staff member*** |

Likely viral etiology with secondary bacterial component.
