About me Hi I'm Yodel! I may be getting up there in years, but I still have plenty of energy to play fetch with you! I'm still learning my leash manners but I do great in the car and know how to sit, lay down, and give paw. I'm eager to learn and would love to spend my days with you! My adoption fee is a bargain! | 05/30/2025 FROM FOSTER: Yodel has been adjusting very well in our home this week! He’s been a well-mannered gentleman. He appears to be potty trained and has not been at all destructive, even when left unsupervised for brief periods. He knows multiple commands and responds well to redirection, if needed. He is very quiet….haven’t heard him bark once yet! He has been sweet and loving, and likes receiving pets/affection. He is quite playful and energetic for his age! He absolutely LOVES to play fetch. Balls are his favorite, but he also seems to really enjoy chewing on stuffies and bones. He has been enjoying taking walks as well. He walks fairly well on the leash, but can have a strong pull at times, especially if he sees rabbits and other small critters. A home with cats may not be a good fit for him. When he has seen other dogs during walks, he shows interest but no aggression. He was friendly during a brief encounter with our neighbors, including two children. |
| 05/26/2025 From the foster parent: It was Yodel's first night in foster care and he did great in our home last night! He slept in a dog bed in our bedroom, and he has been eating all of his food. He has not been at all destructive and has not had any accidents in the home. He appears to know several basic commands. He likes to be active (playing fetch and taking walks), but he is also able to settle and enjoy pets/affection. |

| 05/21/2025 Observed in kennel trhough out multiple points through out multiple days .Canine seen regularly barking, spinning, jumping at wells and pawing at glass primarily in the mornings. Would quickly become overstimualed to stimuli outside kennel and take very long periods to whine down, repeatedly barking, jumping against kennel gate, and walking in circles. |

| 05/18/2025 Tails Around Town - Today we took out Yodel. First off, he is the most well-behaved gentleman, not only does he know sit, shake, and lay but he is so calm while sitting next to your table when you're eating. He's the perfect patio dog and just lays down next to your table. He is very treat motivated and has a great training foundation, so he will make a great dog for anyone! I could tell he was wanting to cuddle and he would just lean into us for pets towards the end of our day. He never barked or got excited all day, despite passing lots of people, dogs, cars and the light rail. He's a really good dog, so smart and also so calm in the car. |

| 05/16/2025 Handler approached outside kennel. Canine jumped up, ears and face soft, loose wagging tail. Handler noted there was group of about 5 workers outside canines kennel working and talking and he was ignoring them ,relaxed body. Did start demand barking once or twice when handler observed, but stopped when handler walked away, Jumped down and continued to ignore construction work outside. |
| 05/16/2025 Observed in kennel over multiple days through out different times. Canine is constantly moving in kennel, pacing, vocalziing, jumping against wall. Multiple intervals where canine is seen heavy panting and pacing. Would bark/vocalize when no one was around. At times did observe laying on bed towards end of day but spent most of day unable to settle. |
| 05/15/2025 Tails Around Town - We took Yodel out for the day and had the best time! He was incredibly sweet and eager to go on an adventure. We went out for a walk to Tempe Town Lake and he loved seeing the runners run by, I think he’d be a great running buddy. He was curious about the birds but was the gentlest boy and just gave them a look and a sniff. He was friendly with people we encountered and was great in the car. He’s clearly eager to be loved and has the biggest heart. He loved playtime and being active but he also settled down on the picnic blanket and enjoyed being loved on. |

Fanatic for toy balls. |
