About me Hello there, I'm Piglet. I'm a lady of simple pleasures. A soft bed, a gentle pat, a quiet moment, these are the things that make my tail wag. I've been told I have a calming presence, a gentle soul. I love people, but I'm not one for rough play. I prefer a peaceful stroll, or a cozy cuddle. I'm a good listener too. I've heard many stories, and I've got room in my heart for many more. I'm looking for someone who appreciates the sweeter, quieter moments in life. Someone who, like me, values gentleness and peace. | 07/12/2025 Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Not interested in toys, Not interested in treats, Easy/Loose Leash, Calm, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, Piglet is nervous in shelter environment. Became fearful when a dog came into the neighboring play yard. Went inside and she settled a bit and became more interested in being pet. Piglet enjoyed being brushed. When meeting new people, wanted to go inside where it's more quiet. |

| 06/25/2025 Leashed with no issues. Walked to PY with a slow relaxed body. Dog took treats gently. Curious with surrounding movements as people walked by PY. Was not interested in toys. Handler scattered treats for dog to play "find it". Did not appear to know commands. Would allow all petting & leaned into handlers hands while being pet. Walked back to kennel with no issues & allowed leash removal by hand. |

| 06/05/2025 Dog slowly approached handler, head low and tail partially tucked, not interested in treats. Dog began to back away, closed divider. Able to step in and place leash with no issues, easy walk to yard, wary of surroundings. Explored yard, panting, tail tucked, eventually approached handler with ears back and allowed pets, moved away as handler grabbed treats. Paced around yard, sensitive to noises, approached again when called and allowed more pets. No issues on the way back, easy return and leash removal. |
| 05/31/2025 Tails Around Town - Piglet was a little hesitant to get in the car at first but once she realized it was a cool, quiet, and a soft place to rest, she loved getting in!! She is a little timid. But once she trusts you, her sweet personality starts to shine. She walks beautifully on a leash and tries so hard to be brave. We had a great time exploring parks, she sat like an angel at the restaurant, and she loved pup-cups! |

Seemed to want to come forward but fearful. Barking was loud. Eventually I reached in far enough to leash her. Came out hesitantly but walked forward only if I did. In yard, allowed gentle petting. |

| 05/15/2025 Dog sat a couple of feet away from door, but did not retreat when kennel door was opened. Dog allowed leashing and walked to yard without issue. Dog wandered the yard for a while and then approached familiar handler. Dog would not follow handler to potential adopter. Dog allowed handler to pet, but could not be coaxed to approach potential adopter. Dog would not walk while potential adopter was around. Potential adopter left the yard first and dog walked back to kennel and allowed removal of leash. |

In play yard, she looked for an escape and was too nervous to accept treats, or play. On walking trail, dog walked very well& stayed next to handlers side, with no pulling. |

| 04/25/2025 Dog had ears back and tail tucked, startled by fast movement and loud noise, would come forward for treats but would back up toward back of kennel. Handler stepped into kennel to leash and had no issues, dog walked to yard with no pull, startled easily. In yard, dog explored, barked at dog near yard that was jumping in kennel, was not interested in treats, after a few minutes, dog settled and approached handler and solicited attention, took treats gently from hand, and layed down. Dog was startled by people passing by but settled quickly. Dog returned to kennel easily, and came forward for treats after kennel was closed. |

| 04/08/2025 Dog was standing in middle of kennel as handler approached, tail tucked and head low. Came up to sniff handler when handler presented treat but did not eat, ran outside then ran back in quickly before stopping in middle of kennel.. Allowed handler to step into kennel and leash with no issues. Walked with easy leash pull, not reactive to dogs in passing. In play yard dog stayed close to handler, tail tucked but soft allowing petting all over and soliciting attentions. Dog would show interest in barking dogs in front of yard but no issue calling over to direct dog away. Dog showed no interest in treats offered, solicited attentions. Walked back to kennel with easy leash pull. Dog backed into kennel and allowed handler to remove leash by hand. |

| 02/27/2025 No issue separating from kennel mate. Pup was in outside portion of kennel sitting near door when handler approached, would not come forward when called so divider was called and pup was in back of kennel with tail tucked, trembling and head low. Allowed handler to step into kennel and place leash with no issue. Pup pancaked and allowed handler to kneel next to pup to pet and coax, used muzzle wrap to carry pup into bucket. Pup rode fine in bucket. In play yard pup left bucket and pancaked, allowed handler to approach and pet making pup become submissive allowing petting all over. Would place head in handlers lap when handler was kneeling next to pup. Pup allowed handler to carry back into bucket fine. No issue returning to kennel and removing leash by hand. |
