| 05/28/2025 Dog retreated to outside portion of kennel. Came up to handler when approached from the outside and allowed leashing. No issues walking to yard. Dog sniffed around and allowed pets. Dog was easily startled by sudden movements, but displayed puppy like behaviour. Due to being easily startled, handler brought up the concern of dog reacting to children unexpectedly as potential adopters had four young children at home and the two small children in meet and greet were too young to give the dog the time and space needed. No issues returning dog to kennel and removing leash. |
| 05/24/2025 Closed inside for AM cleaning. Dog approached handler, soft body, ears back, low tail wag, not interested in treats. Easy to leash, moderate/hard pull to yard, showed no interest in other dogs. Dog was affiliative with handler, jumped on lap soliciting attention, allowed petting all over. Began to pace around yard, panting, would approach fence with tail flagged when noticing kenneled dogs on other side but lost interest quickly. Handler called dog over, when handler reached down to pet dog ducked down and looked up at handler but immediately softened and allowed more pets, then continued to pace around yard. Difficult to keep dog's attention, not interested in high value treats. Followed handler to gate, able to pick up leash, moderate pull back, stiff body and flagged tail when walking by other dogs, resisted entering kennel, handler was able to step in and verbally coax dog in, once returned able to remove leash by hand. *Interested parties should be counseled on proper dog introductions and decompression time. |

What kind of animals? How would you describe the interaction with other animals?-- SOURCE HAD HER AROUND FRIENDS DOG, BUT WAS GROWLING AND HAD STIFF BODY. --Was the animal around any other people or children? If yes, how would you describe the animals behavior towards other people/children?-- NOT AROUND ANY CHILDREN, BUT DID GOOD WITH ADULTS. --Has the animal shown any aggression around other people? Might want to include a few examples of what aggression looks like. Barking, growling, lunging, etc.? If yes, what were the circumstances?-- NO --Did you keep the animal inside or outside?-- INSIDE --If inside, did you keep the animal in a crate or allowed to roam? Was the animal destructive in any way?-- CRATED, BUT WHINED ALOT IN THE CRATE. --If outside, what kind of fencing do you have and did it contain the animal?-- N/A --Did the animal show any aggression, like **growling, curling their lips, lunging** around food, toys, or bones?--NO, SOURCE SAID HE WAS ABLE TO REACH THROUGH THE CRATE AND GRAB THE BONE OR GRAB HER TOYS. --Has the animal shown any signs of illness?-- NO --Does the animal walk on a leash?--PULLS ALOT ON LEASH. |
