Shes adorable. affiliative, leans in for pets, loves hot dogs and neck rubs. army crawls to you sometimes too. used a treat to lure back into kennel. |

06/26/2025 Dog was closed on inner portion of kennel. Approached front of kennel; head lowered; sniffing; offered treats; not interested; when trying to leash; dog pulled head back; used large loop; placed leash over head; dog exited; walked well to yard. In yard, dog explored urinated and defecated. Shook off; had the zoomies; settled; slowly approached handler; head lowered; tolerated slow petting; went back to exploring. More interested in yard. Relaxed body. After a few moments handler slowly approached allowed handler to pick leash up. Walked well. Entered kennel. Allowed leash removal. *** Interested parties should be counseled on proper dog to dog introductions. Should be fed separately. |
06/22/2025 Ran to back of kennel, ACO closed gullitone. Approaching from back of kennel dog lip licked with head low. Came forward to ACO with verbal coaxing. Walked slow on leash, avoidant of people and dogs. Was able to pass onto ASSI. ACO and they walked to kennel. Hesistantion to enter door, and flinched attempting to remove leash but no other issues. |
06/17/2025 Dog was in outside portion of kennel due to AM cleaning. Dog had wide eyes, ears alert and was low growling when handlers approached, stayed at front of kennel sniffing treats but not interested, would show interest in coaxing. Dog sniffed leash when presented and allowed for easy large loop placement. Walked out of kennel with some pulling, required coaxing due to dog trying to pull away from handler at times and for stopping but no issue directing to yard. Dog would try to exit yard when being walked through entrance, used coaxing and slight leash pressure to direct dog fully into yard. Dog followed handler to chair and tolerated petting with head low, tail tucked. Dog stayed by handlers majority of eval with some exploring and going pee but would stay close to handlers trembling and tolerating pets. Not interested in treats offered or tossed. Came to handler when called over to leave and no issue retrieving leash. Walked back with some pulling and needed coaxing, slight leash pressure to enter kennel as dog would try to maneuver around door. Handler walked into kennel for dog to follow, no issue exiting kennel and removing leash by hand. |
06/16/2025 Was outside when handler approached, slowly came forward when handler kneeled down then stopped to look at handler, went back outside with eyes wide and ears alert. Needs full evaluation. |

06/13/2025 --How long have you had the animal?--ONE WEEK. THE FINDER WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND SAW THIS DOG ROAMING AROUND WITH NO COLLAR/LEASH. PET WAS RUNNING IN AND OUT OF THE STREET. THE FINDER PULLED OVER AND UPON APPROACH THE DOG WAS TIMID. THE FINDER WAS ABLE TO COAX THE DOG CLOSER WITH FOOD AND WATER. SHE SLOWLY SNIFFED THE FINDER AND THEN ALLOWED ALL HANDLING. --Has the animal been around other animals? What kind of animals? How would you describe the interaction with other animals?--YES, THE FINDER HAS BOTH DOGS AND CATS. THIS PET DID NOT MIND THE CATS, BUT SHE WOULD LUNGE AT THE SMALL CHI DOG. --Was the animal around any other people or children? If yes, how would you describe the animals behavior towards other people/children?--YES, ADULTS AND A 2 YEAR OLD. THE FINDER KEPT HER AWAY FROM THE YOUNG CHILD, BUT THIS DOG DID GREAT WITH THE ADULTS. SHE JUST LIKES TO BE PETTED. --Has the animal shown any aggression around other people? Might want to include a few examples of what aggression looks like. Barking, growling, lunging, etc.? If yes, what were the circumstances?--NO --Did you keep the animal inside or outside?--OUTSIDE, IN A CAGE --If inside, did you keep the animal in a crate or allowed to roam? Was the animal destructive in any way?--NO DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR. THE FINDER STATES THAT SHE HAS BEEN VERY CALM. --If outside, what kind of fencing do you have and did it contain the animal?--BLOCK WALL --Did the animal show any aggression, like **growling, curling their lips, lunging** around food, toys, or bones?--YES, TO THE OTHER DOG, BUT NOT TO A HUMAN. --Has the animal shown any signs of illness?--NO --Does the animal walk on a leash?--YES |
07/11/2025 07/11/25 14:54 21d post-doxycycline therapy recheck. Patient is BAR with good appetite. Patient has moderate mucoid nasal discharge, no ocular discharge, normal respiratory rate and effort, no coughing, no sneezing. Moderate continued CIRDC symptoms. Would like to extend doxycycline course for 7 additional days and recheck again at the 28d mark. Due to persistent respiratory disease, place on portal urgent medical. If no resolution or outlet by COB on 7/21/25, then dog may be at risk for humane euthanasia on 7/22/25. Dog may be humanely euthanized earlier if QOL declines. RX: - doxycycline 10mg/kg PO q24h x 11d - enrofloxacin 5mg/kg PO q24h x 11d |

RESP – eupnic; sneezing; bilateral serous nasal discharge. A: Ddx. CIRDC (r/o bacterial, viral, fungal) - unresolved. P: 1. Doxycycline (100mg tablet) - 2 tablets PO SID x 7 days. 2. No sneezing. Normal respiratory rate with normal effort. Would like to add on enrofloxacin to treatment plan at this time due to severity of symptoms. RX: - enrofloxacin: 5mg/kg PO q24h x 5d |
