About me Hi, I'm Rusty. I spend my days quietly observing the world around me, often found curled up in a cozy corner. I'm a bit shy at first, but give me a little time, and I'll warm up to gentle touches and kind words. I enjoy the simple things, like a soft bed and a peaceful walk. I'm looking for someone who understands the value of quiet companionship and the beauty of taking things slow. If you're looking for a calm friend to share serene moments with, I might just be your perfect match. Not only do you get my unconditional love and a new BFF, it includes my neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and even some cool coupons!

08/09/2025 Closed inside for AM cleaning. Dog slowly approached handler when offered treats, tail tucked, ears back, wouldn't take from hand but ate treats tossed on floor. Head shy of leash, allowed handler to reach in and slowly place leash with large loop. Dog exited kennel and walked to yard, a bit stop and go but continued walking with verbal coaxing, startled by noises, showed no interest in other dogs. Dog explored yard, tail still tucked, nose to ground. Eventually approached handler, body neutral, allowed petting all over, after a moment softened with low tail wag, leaned into handler's legs soliciting more attention, took treats from hand. Able to pick up leash and walk back to kennel with no issues, easy return, dog retreated towards back of kennel, allowed handler to step in and remove leash by hand. Dog would benefit from being in a quiet environment with time to decompress, interested parties should also be counseled on proper dog introductions. |
