12/07/2025 Solicited attentions, Playful, Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Takes treats nicely, Easy/Loose Leash, Somewhat Pulls on Leash, Calm, Appeared interested when walking past kennels, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, Abu is a good dog. Soft body and wagged tail when I approached kennel. On walk he was a loose leash most of the time. He would often look up at handler when walking next to me. Offered treats to show him that loose leash walk was perfect. He enjoys attention!
11/29/2025 Easy to pull from kennel, Played with toys, Appeared interested when walking past kennels, high energy, loves throwing squeaky toy in air and playing, jumps up for treats and does not wait patiently. places his front legs on my lap and leans in for petting, stands at gate observing dogs in kennels with loose body and wagging tail, loves all treats, easy rtn with chicken
11/21/2025 Closed inside for AM cleaning. Approached with soft body and wagging tail, took treats from hand. Easy to leash, moderate pull to yard, tail flagged and hackles raised when walking by other dogs, no attempts to interact. Affiliative with handler, jumped on lap soliciting attention, soft body and wagging tail, allowed petting all over. Jumpy for treats, muzzled and sniffed handler's treat pouch, able to redirect away into a sit, took treats gently but would continue jumping up for treats. Handler tossed treats on ground to redirect off. Dog explored yard briefly, approached fence as another staff member was walking by, ears alert, tail wagging, quickly lost interest and returned to handler. Chased toy but lost interest quickly, solicited more attention and treats from handler. Able to pick up leash, moderate pull back to kennel, hesitant to enter, handler tossed in hot dogs, dog followed, once treats were eaten dog returned to front of kennel, allowed handler to remove leash by hand. Based on notes from finder, dog would benefit from an experienced handler that can provide a structured environment with positive reinforcement and crate training, as well as plenty of enrichment to help prevent destructive behaviors.
| 11/20/2025 Dog was in back half of kennel on approach, would start to demand bark, handler would offer treats, dog would take treats gently. Instructed dog to "SIT", would sit for treats, opened kennel & presented leash, would leash without issues. Walked to PY with a moderate pull on leash. Dropped leash, dog would start to explore PY with nose to ground while having tail flagged. Handler sat in chair while dog was exploring. Dog would approach handler with a relaxed body & soft tail wag. Instructed dog to "sit" then offered treats, would take treats gently from hand. Dog would explore PY again then slowly approach handler, would allow petting on body without issues. Dog would start to nudge towards handlers treat pouch, handler would stand up & walk away from dog, dog would explore again, handler would scatter treats on ground while dog would explore, dog would run towards treats in a friendly manner & eat all treats then approach handler & sit down with soft body, handler offered more treats to dog. Handler sat down, dog would approach handler & nudge handlers hands, handler would pet dog, dog would start to air scent then place nose into handlers pouch again, handler would stand up, dog would return to exploring. Handler would toss toys in PY, dog would start to run around & play with toys in mouth, drop toys & run to handler in a friendly manner. Handler picked up leash & walked back to kennel, dog would not enter into kennel on own, would enter with treats being tossed into kennel to coax. | 11/19/2025 Dog was standing at divider with tense body, tail flagged, came forward for treats tossed in/offered with wiggly body and accepted treats gently but became stiff, side eyeing handler when handler placed hand in front of kennel, started alarm barking and backing away so divider was closed. Dog came forward with tense body, accepted treat and stayed at front of kennel allowing for easy leash placement. Exited kennel slowly with tail tucked, head low, sniffed kennels in passing with low wagging tail, needed to be coaxed out of building, had more strong pull to sick yard. In yard dog went potty immediately, had high energy in yard with wagging tail and loose body but will become tense if handler attempted to pet, was wary of handler entire time in yard, will come to handler when called over but flinches if attempting to pet or walks passed handler. Some flagged tail when exploring, tense body at times but will become loose bodied and wagging tail when called over or if not focusing on dogs barking, started jumped on exit door. Wary of handler approaching while dog was at exit, hard stare while leash was picked up. Attached clip leash as dog was looking elsewhere, no issues walking back to kennel. Dog would not enter kennel, started going to neighboring dogs kennel to sniff, had to use leash pressure to get dog into kennel, dog attempted to push out, no issue using clip leash for leash retrieval. |
11/16/2025 Slight tense body allowed all handling muzzle wrap for vaccine quick harness pulled to kennel nervous form other dogs to kennel
