04/02/2026 Sniffs other dogs through fence with neutrality, high body posture when greeting dogs on leash, took treats beside other dogs with neutrality, no mounting attempts while on leash, bouts of play with other dogs (wrestling, bouncy movements), would start invasively sniffing only after play, easily redirected with treats. Played well with new dog for few moments when leash was dropped then mounted other dog, unable to redirect, chased after other dog with tense body, high body posture, grumbling, appeared to be trying to grab other dog to pin, able to keep other dog away long enough to pick up leash, settled somewhat after a few moments, obsessively sniffing ground after, moderately difficult to redirect, able to be within 5ft of new dog, tried to invasively sniff with high body posture when any closer. Incident happened following higher arousal play, will retry with low energy dog as this dog does not appear to initiate play, may do better with parallel walks. New dog met: Reba (A5161625)
04/02/2026 Out for Green training. Vocal on approach but settled, soft & wiggly all the while. Easily leashed, came right out, ignored reactive dogs in favor of leaving area promptly. Minor pull ahead, abated as handler allowed him to proceed forward unhindered. Dog was very affiliative w/ all handlers in yard, frequent checkins, sought & allowed petting, frequently sought additional. Some independent exploration in yard, brief interest in a rubber ball. When another dog was walked by yard, he bounded over w/ loose, wiggly posture, loose jaw. Leash easily reacquired, walked right into kennel, handler opted to use clip-leash retrieval method for slip-lead for demo purposes. Dog seemed to enjoy salmon jerky.
04/01/2026 Through fence: loose body, tail wagging, sniffed other dog with neutrality, bouncy movements when exploring yard, solicited attention, grabby taking treats. On-leash: initially disinterested in other dog, explored yard, started mildly pulling towards other dog, loose body with high body and tail posture during first couple greetings, became more neutral across greetings, invasive sniffing, attempted to mount after several moments of sniffing, easy to redirect with leash pressure, able to later easily redirect before mounting attempts with squeaker and treats, mostly disinterested in other dog when approaching handlers, solicits attention, gently jumps up, takes treats next to other dog with neutrality. Off-leash: redirected when sniffing was prolonged to prevent mounting, briefly playful with other dog (bouncy movements, mouthy, chasing), attention more focused on handlers than other dog, loose body and tail throughout off-leash interaction. Dog met: Currents (A5159839)

03/21/2026 Solicited attentions, Playful, High arousal, Easy to pull from kennel, Easy to return to kennel, Played with toys, Grabby at treats, Somewhat Pulls on Leash, Calm, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, Squeaky enjoyed playing with toys, destroying four during our field trip. Enjoyed sniffing around the yard before relaxing on patio furniture with volunteer. After we went to OHSO and he was grabby with food, but enjoyed sweet potato fries and salmon.
03/19/2026 Tails Around Town: Squeaky is the best dog ever!!! We took him out for a tails around town date, and he was such a gentleman. He was polite, didn’t pull at all, and didn’t bark a single time. He was very friendly to other strangers, and very polite to other dogs. He got along well with every age! He took treats gently, and didn’t beg while we were eating our own food. He loved his soft blanket, and his little plushy toy. He was even gentle with his toys. He took a long nap in the car, and was very relaxed the entire drive. He didn’t seem to like the loud shelter, and appreciated the quietness of the park. Not overly high energy, and he loved to rest with us after his walks. If we were looking to adopt, he would be at the top of our list. If you’re looking for the perfect gentleman and the sweetest cuddle buddy, then this is your dog!

Walked with easy leash pull out of building, not reactive to dogs in passing, began marking once outside, no issues directing to play yard. Once in yard dog had high energy, ran to jump onto handler when handler sat on bench, accepted pets before going to explore. Neutral soft body while exploring, marks around yard, will come to handler when called over with wagging tail. Showed high interest in squeaky ball, will fetch, allowed handler to reach for ball and recover ball, played tug-o-war with no issues. Picked up leash and walked back to kennel with no issues, started fence fighting with dogs once in building (stiff, muzzle punching gate, low growling, snapping) but settled once away from dogs. Would not enter kennel, used treats and dog walked right in, allowed handler to remove leash by hand. |
01/24/2026 Dog was observed fence fighting with passing dogs. Dog was also observed agitating his neighbor through fence, dog would jump at fence, be very vocal and fence fight with neighbor and would not break focus. Dog ended up spilling water bucket while jumping and causing dog to slip and fall but dog still continued jumping and slipping numerous times. Dog was moved outside and a cover was put up on the fence to aviod seeing neighbor, once brought back inside, dog still continued to try and get to neighbor and tried tearing cover down. Dog was then set to move to a different kennel to stop the problem with neighbor. Handler approached dog through outside kennel, when dog saw leash he settled down. Dog allowed leashing, had a strong pull and looked for a spot to urinate. Seems like dog is potty trained and had been holding it in for a while. After urinating dog became a bit more calm, didn't acknowledge other dogs on his way to his new kennel. Covers were put up on new neighbor's kennel, so dog wouldn't see new neighbor. Dog was set in new kennel and allowed to be unleased. Dog settled down in new kennel
