About me Hi, I'm Marabelle. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, I love gentle pets and taking treats softly from your hand. My curiosity gets the best of me sometimes, and I love exploring new smells and sights at my own pace. I've learned to trust through patient handling and need a little time to warm up to new friends. I dream of a home where I can feel safe and loved, continuing to explore the world with someone kind by my side. Adopting me means gaining a loyal and loving companion.
| 04/08/2026 Avoidant, Moderate to pull from kennel, Moderate to return to kennel, Not interested in toys, Not interested in treats, Easy/Loose Leash, Calm, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, Dog initially barking and growling at handler while moving away, but she started to sniff the hot dogs I threw on the floor and move forwards allowing leashing. She walks well on leash. Does not want to get back in the kennel but follow me in and able to remove leash without prob |
| 04/03/2026 Dog was growling on approach, hard stare, retreated outside. Handler attempted to coax inside with treats and speaking softly; continued hard staring and growling; closed outside. When re-approaching from outside, dog was standing at back of kennel; curved body; pilo; growling; slight lip curl; hard stare. Handler spoke softly and tossed treats on ground. Dog softened and sniffed treats; ignoring handler; head to ground sniffing; ate treat. Handler tossed another few treats and opened door with large loop at front; dog glanced towards leash; sniffed and ate treats for a moment and then came forward; sniffed leash then moved head away; came back and placed head at kennel opening; able to leash easily; exited with very mild pull; slight pilo; tail flagged then neutral wagging; non reactive to barking dogs in passing; entered yard with nose to ground; tail wag; handler followed dog around for a few minutes before being able to secure stopper on leash; dog was intently sniffing yard; urinating; ignoring handler; tail flagged; extended leash and dropped; sat on bench. Handler coaxed dog over to bench; mouth open; soft face; foam around mouth; drooling; approached and sniffed handler; allowed petting; walked away; defectated; occupied with sniffing. Handler picked up waste and dog followed handler calmly; came back to bench with handler; allowed petting all over; leaned into handler's legs; went to sniff around yard again. Handler retreived leash and dog was ignoring handler sniffing around yard; coaxed to exit; attached clip leash for return; non reactive to barking dogs in passing; light pull; wagging tail; entered into kennel for treats tossed; removed leash using clip leash. 04/03/26 17:59 Updating color, req and recs. |
| 04/03/2026 Canine appears uneasy when first approch kennel, handler was able to leash k9 while talking softly and praising. k9 walked to yard with no issue and allowed handling and vaccinating while in yard. Canine did look for attention from both handlers while in yard. Walked dog to kennel walked in with handler gave hot dog took leash off and left. |
| 03/27/2026 Dog was at front of kennel; alarm barking; showing teeth; snarling; verbally coaxed; retreated to outer portion of kennel; looked in through divider; chuffing; ears back; low tail wag; tossed treats; dog slowly came forward; started to settle; ate treats; opened kennel door; placed large loop into kennel; tried luring with treats; would retreat to back portion of kennel; lured again with treats to front; tried lasso leashing; circled onto bed; retreated to outside; tossed more treats; dog approached; closed divider; handler was able to lasso leash; opened kennel door; dog exited; walked well with light pull; shook off; entered yard. In yard, followed handler over to bench; took treats gently; soft; tail wagging; poked snout on treat; startled; hesitant to take treat; handler presented a new treat; dog took treat gently; demonstrated sit; gave paw; offered more treats; dog started to explore; urinated; defecated; sniffed nose to ground; dog would approach; allowed for petting; handler walked over to catch pen; did not follow; dog was stepping on leash; handler was able to approach; picked leash up; dog followed; walked well back to kennel; entered kennel; allowed for leash removal. 04/01/26 16:16 Adding color due to NHO status. |
| 03/25/2026 Handler approached from kennel front; Dog was alarm barking; slight showing teeth; tense; handler spoke softly and unlocked door; dog stopped alarm barking and sat facing guillotine; handler spoke softly and tried coaxing dog forward dog just sat with soft stare; handler placed leash over head and dog allowed; Dog walked out with mild to loose leash pull; pilo; walked to yard; ignored dogs in passing; Dog walked into catch pin; Handler pet gently with end of leash; Dog was unphased; handler pet by hand softly on sides; dog allowed; handler opened up catch pin and dog walked and explored yard; Shortly later defecating and urinating; handler sat on bench; tried giving treats and initiating play after a few minutes; Dog would watch ball but didn't play; wasn't interested in treats given by hand; dog would come up and solicit pets without coaxing; tail wagging when handler would baby talk and pet; dog would walk yard neutral relaxed body; opened up in short amount of time; did come and sit next to handler soliciting attention; mild pant in yard; would follow handler around; if dog stepped on leash dog would stop in place and try and walk a few times then realize she was standing on leash; would soft stare up at handler; allowed petting along head; back; tail wagging; when time to go handler walked to catch pin; slight hesitancy in catch pin to enter; handler walked first and dog followed; mild to loose leash pull back to kennel; entered kennel upon arrival; no issues at all was able to unleash by hand. |

| 03/20/2026 K9 was alarm barking at kennel and growling. Talked to K9 in a calm voice while opening kennel door. Attempted to leash K9. K9 lunged while barking. Unable to spay check at this time. |
| 03/19/2026 Dog approached officer with treats, would not get close enough to place leash. Attempted to catch dog on catch pole, dog growled, bared teeth and lunged towards officer and then tried to run into the street. Caught in net and placed on catch pole, lightly fought and bit at catch pole and then walked to truck kennel |
