| 08/05/2026 FROM FOSTER: I have been fostering Azura now for going on three months she is a wonderful, she's crate trained, house trained and gets along with the other dogs. In the morning when the alarm goes off she comes and puts her head on the bed and wants pets even will give kisses. Unfortunately she still is unsure about alot of thing inside and outside of the house. Loud noises or voices sometimes just fast movements , new people she will meet if they approach slow, she approaches more when am sitting down, she will sometimes just want to stay in her room. For her forever home it would be great for her to have another dog in the home she really opens up and gains confidence having a buddy. Also needs a family that will give her time to adjust and realizes that it may take awhile and that at least right now she's not big on cuddles. |
| 07/09/2026 FROM FOSTER: Azura has been getting better but still shows signs of being nervous/ unsure more so when am standing then sitting. She does little cute things like bringing her toys into my bedroom at night and places her head on my bed in morning before I get up. She got to go to the river the other day it was quite but she showed interest in the few people and the paddle boarders that passed by. She seamed to like walking around sniffing everything even leading the way at times and to my surprise she got in the water not far enough to swim but walked around. Still play well with the other dogs in the house. |
| 06/23/2026 FROM FOSTER: She had gone two adoption events last week the event was outside and she was more comfortable but still nervous and shys away from pets at first just need to go slow. We did some walking around the store and did well. Even after a month in my home she is still nervous sits off to the side in a room will put her head down when I walk by but then at times she will just come up and want pets and treats. She is house trained and does need a crate or she will get a little naughty and chew things. She is always excited to play with one of the dogs she play bows and runs around the yard with him she is more confident when another dog is around. She did jump up into the truck the other day for the first time but is not a big fan of car rides she is quite but tends to do some drooling. She is the sweetest little girl who is going to take time to feel secure in a home. |
| 05/30/2026 From foster: She been with me for a week and is still settling in but has much improved. She doesn't always come to me right away and sometimes still likes to sit off by her self but strangely has become a bathroom buddy. You do need to watch her as she will steal tennis shoes and she has this cute little side walk she does when she's unsure of something. She has met a few of the other dogs in the house and has done well really likes to play with one of them. Today we took a trip to petsmart she need help to get in the car and rides make her a little nervous but she did really well passeing other dogs with no reaction although nervous in the store she did really well. |

| 05/10/2026 dog was notably less flightly after 12 hours with a large blanket being placed in kennel onto cot. less shaking, Kennel Staff was able to get much closer to kennel before she ran outside and maintaining eye contact. will keep refreshing blankets into kennel |

| 05/03/2026 Easily startled, Moderate to pull from kennel, Moderate to return to kennel, Not interested in toys, Takes treats nicely, Stop and go, Pancaked/flattened to ground, Carried, Timid, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels, no issues leashing after stepping into the kennel but even after encouragement, she didn't walk out. Carried out then she walked the rest of the way to sick yard. explored and sat by handler briefly but then hung out under the pool in the shade. carried most of the way back. |
| 04/26/2026 Assisted pulling dog for M&G. On approach, dog was sitting with hunched posture in back of kennel, looking at handler. Dog had already been leashed. Handler opened gate, retrieved leash, crouched down. Handler spoke softly to dog, attempting to coax, dog remained in back of kennel. Ate treats when tossed nearby and slowly moved forward for them, but would not come all the way to the front. Handler stepped into kennel. Dog's head was low, avoiding eye contact. Handler offered treats, dog took them gently from hand. Allowed handler to get closer and begin petting. Dog walked around, standing behind handler's legs. Continued to allow petting. Handler was able to apply light precautionary muzzle wrap, then lift dog out of kennel, place into taxi without issue. Dog allowed more petting once in taxi. |
| 04/22/2026 Laying on bed with puppies with neutral body, came forward when handler knelt down with soft body, tucked wagging tail, accepted treats gently, no issues separating from puppies. Dog would allow for easy leash placement, does not walk on leash. Allowed handler to approach in kennel and pet, muzzle wrap, and carry into taxi with no issues, head low and tail tucked but soft eyes and allowed all handling. Observant in taxi, startled by loud noises and reactive dogs in passing otherwise no issues transporting to small play yard in taxi, accepted pets when sniffing handler. Exited taxi on own, would quickly pace with tail tucked before making way to handler sitting on chair and would begin to solicit attentions, allowed petting all over, accepted treats gently, knows "SIT". Dog is timid and easy startled but will come to handler for attentions and allow all handling while in yard. Allowed handler to pick up and place into taxi with no issues. Rode fine back to kennel, exited taxi into kennel and allowed handler to remove leash by hand. |

BCS is 2.5-3/9 currently. P medically not okay to PUFA until P gains some weight but medically okay to foster. Weight rechecks are sheduled for 4/27 and 5/4. |
