4/24/2025 Dog was in outside portion of kennel due to AM cleaning. Dog had ears up and alert, stiff, tucked tail when handler approached. would not come forward for treats or coaxing. Dog moved to back of kennel as handler presented leash and began opening kennel door, handler kneeled down and tried to coax dog over but dog would not move, dog did move forward when handler presented treat by hand but flinched when handler reached out to give treat. took treat gently. Allowed handler to place large loop with no issues, walked with strong pull out of kennel, body low and tense, easily started by barking dogs. Dog did walk better inside of building but was still very easily startled by all sounds and movements. In play yard dog flinched wih wide eyes when handler placed leash stopper, followed handler to chair but would not approach or solicit attentions. Dog was panting, took treats from handlers hand gently but will flinch, walk back if handler reached out to pet. Dog walked behind handler and handler attempted to pet body in which dog skin crawled, head flipped, and walked away. Dog returned to handler when called over but would not approach, panting and tail tucked. Handler offered dog treat and when dog put head down handler petted, dog tolerated pets but did not seek out. Followed handler around yard but will flinch, become low for all sounds and movements. Followed handler to exit but would flinch, become startled when handler reached for leash. Handler was able to offer treat and then grab leash. Walked with strong pull back to kennel, easily startled and pulled hard when there's fast movements. Dog pulled away from handler when approaching kennel, would not enter. Followed handler into kennel but tried running past handler, stiff with eyes wide, tail tucked. Dog would flinch and move away from handler when handler attempted to reach for leash. Handler dropped treats on floor to grab leash, dog flinched and went to back of kennel. No issue exiting kennel after retrieving leash.

4/23/2025 Dog was closed out for AM cleaning. Pulled from back. Dog was standing at front of kennel; tense body; ears back; tail tucked; offered treat; took treat gently; opened kennel door; dog retreated; placed leash on kennel floor; tossed treats around; dog slowly approached sniffed leash; not interested in treats; dog moved towards back of kennel; sat down; wide eyed. After a few moments, handler picked leash up and was going to attempt to lasso leash in those moments dog approached front of kennel. Handler stuck leash out using a large loop dog eventually placed head through loop and handler was able to leash. Dog exited kennel. Had a moderate pull; ears back; tail tucked; panting. In yard, dog sniffed for a few moments. Approached handler and took treats gently. Dog would easily get startled when handler moved hand. Would not allow handler to pet would move away. Tried to offer treats dog would take treats and handler would attempt to pet dog would skin crawl and move away. Went back to exploring. Dog was easily startled by bugs flying around would skin crawl and flinch when landing on top of dog. Started pacing around yard and panting. Handler coaxed over with treats. Handler was able to pick leash up. Handler slowly went to reach for stopper dog head flipped and froze. Followed handler to catch pen. Handler tried to add clip leash dog would keep ducking. Unable to add clip leash at the time. Exited yard. Moderate pull. Handler was able to apply clip leash while walking back to kennel. Entered kennel. Handler tried to coax back to front to try and remove leash dog would not approach. Removed leash with clip leash.

4/22/2025 Retreated outside, ears back, eyes wide, unable to coax in verbally or with treats, closed divider. Handler approached again, dog was standing near divider, tail tightly tucked, not interested in hot dogs tossed nearby. Able to reach in and place leash with large loop, dog exited kennel quickly, tail still tucked, stop and go, pulled back and thrashed but settled quickly, continued walking with verbal coaxing. Showed no interest in other dogs. In yard dog warmed up to handler, slowly approached, body neutral, ears back, leaned into handler's legs and allowed petting all over. Took treats gently. Began panting heavily. When another staff member approached fence dog retreated over to handler, staff member tried coaxing dog over to fence, dog just stared. Sensitive to noises. Followed handler into catch pen, flinched when handler picked up leash, no issues on the way back, easy return, allowed handler to remove leash by hand.

4/19/2025 Dog wide eyed on approach, tensed up body, hard staring, low growling. Had finder leash dog and hand over leash. Dog walked erratic zig zag into bubble. Dog remained tense with ears back, trembling. Unable to safely muzzlewrap, utilizing squeeze gate for vaccines. Dog walked to kennel with moderate pull and entered with no issue, using clip leash
