5/3/2025 Dog was closed in for AM cleaning. Dog approached front of kennel for treats. Started jumping up at kennel door. Handler presented leash dog started pacing in kennel. Kept ducking leash attempts. Tossed treats into kennel dog was not interested. Handler was able to leash with large loop. Once leash was on, dog exited kennel. Pulled hard out of building. Walked with light pull to yard. In yard, dog began exploring. Lightly panting. After a few moments, handler verbally coaxed and offered treats; dog approached; did not take treats; stood by handler for a few moments; tolerated petting; skin crawled; walked away; continued exploring. Stood in middle of yard for several moments looking out into surroundings; still body; handler coaxed; dog approached; stood next to handler; tolerated petting; allowed handler to pick leash up; exiting yard; applied clip leash; walked back to kennel with hard pull; startled by reactive neighbor; darted into kennel; removed leash with clip leash; dog started eating treats in kennel.
5/2/2025 standing at front of kennel with ears pinned, watching as staff walked passed, sniffed towards handler
5/2/2025 At front of kennel; wide yes; body hunched over; offered treat; took treat gently; handler slowly closed divider; dog turned head back; took more treats; tail tucked; tried to slowly leash; dog started to pace; ducked leash attempt; used a large loop; once leash dog exited kennel with hard pull; hard pull to meet and greet room; dog approached handler right away; wide eyed; tail tucked; ears back; licked handler's arm; offered treat; not interested. Dog paced around in room heavy panting and tail tucked. Handler verbally coaxed over dog approached right away; tolerated some petting; handler pet alongside back slowly moving to lower back; skin crawled; head flipped once petting lower back; dog walked away; approached room door; shook off; panting; remained by door for entire time. Allowed handler to slowly approach pick leash up and added clip leash. Hard pull back to kennel. Entered kennel. Allowed removal with clip leash.
5/1/2025 Dog was laying in back half of kennel on approach. Came to inside half of kennel with verbal coaxing. Dog kept dodging leash placement while biting @ leash. Handler used a wide loop leash to lasso dog. Once leashed walked to small PY with tail tucked. Explored PY while panting heavy. Would approach handler & allowed all petting with no issues. Handler picked up leash & walked dog to enrichment room to pick out some hard & soft toys. Dog walked back to kennel with tail tucked. Once in kennel, dog layed on bed while panting heavy. Handler went to remove leash by hand & dog became wide eyed. Handler stepped out of kennel & removed leash with a clip leash that was already attached to leash.
4/29/2025 Dog was outside when handler approached, slowly came forward with verbal coaxing, slight tail wag, sniffed handler's hand, closed divider. Not interested in treats, retreated to bed when opening kennel. Head shy of leash but still trying to approach handler, able to place leash on second attempt. Pulled hard on the way to yard, tail tucked, continuously looked back at handler, showed no interest in other dogs. In yard dog approached, panting, tail low, flinched when initially touched but settled and allowed petting all over. While exploring dog became still and stared at nearby employee, began trembling, wouldn't move from corner. Handler was able to approach and sit next to dog, gave slight tail wag and licked hand, allowed more pets. Followed handler into catch pen, able to pick up leash, hard pull back to kennel, easy return, allowed handler to remove leash by hand. Adding 12+ req due to previous note.
4/28/2025 Dog was locked in front kennel for AM cleaning. Dog was laying on bed curled up on kennel approach. Handler tossed a hotdog near dog, dog did not react so handler stepped out of view briefly and returned, treat had been eaten and dog was not seated on bed looking at handler. Handler continued to treat and retreat with dog while performing "click for quiet" with neighboring dogs. After 3 minutes of this routine handler approached kennel and dog took treat from hand and lingered at kennel front. Handler ran out of treats so they left briefly to get more before moving forward. Handler returned and dog was waiting at kennel front. While handler was unlocking the kennel, dog started to pace a little in circles but then stopped as soon as handler opened kennel door. Dog allowed leashing with mild hesitancy and exited kennel. Dog showed no reactivity towards neighboring kennels, dog had lowered body posture and low hanging tail. Once out of building dog perked up a little and began to mildly pull on leash. In yard dog surveyed and wandered around, dog would occasionally check in with handler. Handler would offer hotdog, dog was not interested. After 10 minutes of wandering, dog waited at yard exit. Handler was able to pick up leash and walk back to kennel. Dog pulled moderately on return and darted through thresholds. Dog allowed leash removal by hand with easy return.
4/28/2025 Snapping, lunging at handler while attempting to leash. Needs re-evaluation.

4/27/2025 Dog was in back half of kennel for AM cleaning. On approach dog was sitting in back corner shaking body. Handler spoke softly to dog, dog slowly started to come forward. Handler tossed treats into kennel, dog would army crawl towards treats to eat slowly. Handler presented leash, dog retreated to back corner of kennel near divider & would not come forward. Handler leaned into kennel & used a wide loop leash to drape over dog. Once leashed, dog started to thrash, handler spoke softly & waited for dog to settle. Once dog stopped thrashing on leash, dog tucked tail tightly under body, sat in corner & started to urinate while trembling body. Handler kneeled near dog & was able to pet dog while speaking softly, each time handler would pet dog, dog would skin crawl. Dog became wide eyed & started to make a crying sound. Handler removed leash. Once leashed was removed dog stood up & attempted to run out of kennel, handler tossed treats farther into kennel & was able to step out of kennel to close door. Handler ended attempt to remove for evaluation due to FAS.
