8/16/2025 Returned from foster on bite, updating color (orange due to bite)

8/13/2025 From foster: Diego is doing well, no potty accidents as he is taken out more frequently due to his love of water. We went for a bit of a longer walk he did great did not try to chew on leash or harness. Did well walking inside store while getting pup cup. While in line for dinner he was asked to sit and lay down, he understands sit but is working on laying down. He did great in the car however, he is a bit awkward when getting in. While inside car he sits or lays down Diego enjoys the ride. As far as food is concerned he doesn’t eat much, food is put out for him twice a day. He was left at home a little longer than usual he didn’t chew on anything or have any accidents. I’d say he’s probably good with being alone about 3ish hours. He’s a great boy, in his teenage phase but all in all a great boy!

8/11/2025 FROM FOSTER: Diego did great yesterday. He napped and hung out he’s getting over his fear of the stairs. He did have one accident, he peed but it just taught me more about him, that he loves water. So I’d say a doggy door for him would be perfect. We went to get a pup cup at Dairy Queen and he did great in the car.

8/10/2025 FROM FOSTER: So after a little patience Mr Diego was able to stay in the kennel. He calmed down when meeting new people. Over night he did great, he learned where his new bed is and stayed in it. While initially he had done well with stairs he has gone down them a little too fast a few times and slipped so we are using the leash now to go up and down. He is much better on a harness than the leash Hasn’t eaten much besides a few treats, he’s not really food motivated as his notes stated. He appears to be a lot calmer than yesterday morning when I picked him up. Harness is still on. Initially, he hated it and started chewing at it but he realized it helps when going on walks so he leaves it alone now.

8/6/2025 San Diego was neutral with soft body for playgroup, was brought up to fenceline to meet Jello and Flower and sniffed but disengaged quickly with neutral body the whole time, was brought in and met with both dogs on leash and was disinterested but allowed other dogs to sniff and come up to him, check ins with handlers, soft body throughought, Flower and Jello began running around yard and San Diego began to follow running behind them.

Walked with some pulling but easy to direct to yard, not interested in dogs in passing. In play yard dog went potty and would solicit attentions with handlers, allowed petting all over with wiggly body, wagging tail. Not interested in treats offered but accepted pets. Walked back to kennel with some pulling, no issue directing dog to kennel. Allowed for easy leash removal.

5/13/2025 K9 growled and snarled as approached. once on the control pole k9 walked to the truck well. control pole was used to confine k9 on the truck. k9 sniffed officers hand once on truck, no growling.
