6/10/2025 Dog was underneath bed as handler approached, would not come forward for treats or coaxing. Handler was able to lift bed up and dog went to side of kennel with head low, trembling, wide eyed and tense. Handler placed some treats on floor and walked away in hopes of letting dog settle. Handler returned and dog was attempting to get behind standing up bed. Dog froze and allowed handler to lasso with no issues. Dog was frozen in place as handler positioned taxi, used slight leash pressure and dog walked into taxi. Few attempts to jump out of taxi on way to yard but no issues. Dog exited taxi quickly and was distant from handler, tail tucked, trembling, wide eyed, and pacing around yard showing escape oriented behavior trying to paw at rocks by fence to escape. Dog did go underneath chair handler was sitting at, handler attempted to pet but dog head flipped, stiff and wide eyed but stayed in place until handler moved which startled dog causing dog to run by taxi. Dog hid by taxi until handler approached. Was able to pick up leash with no issues, used slight leash pressure to direct dog into taxi. Rode fine in taxi on way to kennel, panting and wide eyed. Lifted taxi for dog to exit into kennel and used clip leash to retrieve leash.

6/10/2025 Per kennel staff dog has not eaten food in 2 days.

6/9/2025 Dog was laying under bed on approach to kennel, would not come out with treats or verbal coaxing. Handler stepped into kennel closed door. Repositioned bed & dog would stand up & start to pace in circles around the bed and handler. Handler used bed as a sort board & used a wide loop leash to leash dog with out incident. Once leashed dog layed down & would not move. Handler draped a towel over dog & was able to pick up with no issues. Carried dog to a behavior taxi & placed in behavior taxi. While riding to small PY, dog would attempt to jump out a couple of times. Once in small PY, dog exited out of behavior taxi slowly & cautiously. Would explore PY while trembling body & looking in all directions. Handler would speak softly & toss treats, dog would turn body & walk in opposite direction of treats. Handler stood up from chair & would walk around PY, dog would start to pace along fence line & look up towards top of fence. Dog would stop @ corners of gate & attempt to dig on the turf. Handler would sit back down on chair & wait for dog to settle again. Dog would become wide eyed & tremble body more while nervously panting. Once dog settled again, handler stood up & walked slowly to retrieve leash, dog would become wide eyed, curled lips & did an alarm bark with jump forward then retreated to fence again. Handler waited for dog to settle again. Dog became stiff & tense while low growling. Handler called for additional handler to bring a sort board. While additional handler was walking near PY, handler was able to quickly pick up leash as dog was watching additional handler. Additional handler came into PY and used sort board to help guide dog into behavior taxi as handler was holding leash. Once in, handler would wait for dog to look down & away then handler was able to quickly attach a clip leash, once on leash, dog would snap back towards handlers hand and not make contact. Rode back to kennel while curling lips & low growling towards alternate handler. Exited into kennel with no issues & allowed leash removal to be done with a clip leash.

6/7/2025 hiding under bed

6/6/2025 On approach, dog at front of crate alarm barking, attempting to bite at handler through gate when attmepting to open. Finder carried crate into Bubble. Hnadler tilted crate back. Dog snapped at leash while attempting to leash. Once leashed, handler applied light leash pressure to unload dog from crate. Out of crate, dog flailed and thrashed on leash, biting at leash, screaming, taking approx 30 seconds before settling. Dog remained tense with stiff body, tucked tail, avoiding eye contact. Hander able to muzzlewrap and lift for vaccines. Handler carried dog to kennel in towel and used clip leash for leash removal

6/6/2025 06/06/25 12:52 Patient was brought to veterinarian office after biting left maxillary lip on ramp. Small amount of frank blood present in region of wound. RX carprofen 37.5mg PO q24h x 3d for pain control. Suspect wound will resolve without intervention.
