08/08/25 09:55 JMALONE K9 was standing in an irrigation cannal for an undetermined ammount of time. K9 low growled as I approached. Use of control device was required to safely remove K9 from irrigation cannal and place into kennel. Little to no reaction from being directed. Once pulled from the cannal K9 laid down and refused to stand. Once placed into a kennek K9 collapsed and appeared to immediately went to sleep.

8/20/2025 EET Rounds: Standing quietly with a wagging tail nub.
8/20/2025 Came to front half of kennel with verbal coaxing. Leashed with no issues. Walked with a strong pull to new kennel. Would not enter kennel with verbal coaxing or treats. Walked to back half of kennel, opened kennel wide, tossed treats, dog entered into kennel. Used clip leash for leash removal.

8/16/2025 Dog was standing at kennel door, soft body, wagging nubbin, took treats. Easy to leash, pulled back hard as handler opened door but then exited kennel with verbal coaxing. Moderate/hard pull to yard but controllable, approached reactive dogs with neutral body, easy to redirect away and continue walking. In yard dog explored, appeared relaxed, marked surroundings. When noticing kenneled dogs on other side of fence dog began to pace and sniff along fence, handler was able to redirect and call dog over, approached with soft body and allowed petting all over, sat for treats, took gently, nudged hand with muzzle soliciting more attention. Followed handler over to gate, able to pick up leash and walk back to kennel with no issues. Dog was hesitant to enter kennel, handler was able to toss hot dogs and lure dog in, once returned able to remove leash by hand.

8/12/2025 Dog was in back of kennel; readily approached; soft body; took treats; avoidant of leash placement; handler was able to place large loop over; exited kennel; moderate pull. In yard, dog explored; distant from handlers; tried verbally coaxing; would not look at handler; continued exploring; assistant handler crouched; tossed treats; dog approached nearby; dog would eat treats; became stiff; handler tossed treats; dog redirected attention to treats; dog stood still; hard stared handler; handler tossed treats while walking away; dog ate treats; continued exploring; tense body; handlers walked to catch pen; dog started to follow; open mouth; handler was able to walk nearby; slowly picked leash up; applied clip leash; walked back to kennel with moderate pull; did not enter kennel; assistant handler tossed treats into kennel; dog immediately followed; pulled in hard; while pulling in both leash got pulled in; handler was trying to hold onto clip lead; dog turned around; jumped up for treat bag in handler's hand; handler dropped leashes in. Assistant handler verbally coaxed dog to front of kennel; soft body; nub wagging; able to remove leashes by hand.
8/12/2025 Easy leash placement and pull from kennel, tail wags, didn't seek attention but tolerated petting. Able to collect urine sample for diagnostics with no issues. Easy return to kennel, leash removed by hand with no issue.
8/11/2025 Dog was at front of kennel with soft body, wagging nub on approach. Accepted treats gently and stayed at front of kennel when leash was presented. Dog was head shy during leashing, would come forward but back away when trying to place leash. Was able to hold large loop and lure dog through with treats in hand, easy leash placement. Walked with strong pull, some zig zag but able to direct. Stopped to mark on walk to "J" yard. In yard dog explored, would come to handler when called over and accept pets before returning to exploring. Not interested in treats tossed near but would eat treats offered gently. Called dog over to leave and dog followed, while handler was petting head before retrieving leash dog started to growl with stiff head, handler backed away and let dog settle. Picked up leash and no issues walking back to kennel, strong pull but easy to direct. Dog stopped with wagging nub, some tense body when sniffing neighboring dog at front of kennel, able to direct away with no issues, dog walked into kennel and allowed handler to remove leash by hand.

8/11/2025 08/11/25 17:03 Reported P had dark urine in kennel this morning BAR and active. Avoidant, no physical exam done. BCS 5/9 EEN-WNL RR 30, no dyspnea. Good appetite. No urine, diarrhea, or vomit present in kennel P: Collect urine sample for analysis and treat PRN. DDX: UTI, open.

8/8/2025 08/08/25 14:46 Targeted exam due to behavior; patient stoic and easy to leash/remove from kennel, tolerated limited handling but began to growl and side eye while ausculting heart so discontinued hands on exam at that time. Easy to return to kennel with clip lead. S/O: Gen - QAR, BCS 8/9, good appetite for treats EENT - Eyes clear and free of discharge/redness. Nose clean and free of discharge. External ears are free of discharge/redness. H/L/MM - Normal respiratory rate and effort. No coughing or sneezing. No stertor, no stridor. Mucous membranes pink. INTEG - Wet bottom half of coat, some dirt dried onto coat. NEURO - Normal mentation and posture. M/S - Normal gait. No muscle atrophy or limping appreciated. A: - unkempt and wet coat secondary to reportedly being in canal - patient appears stable at this time P: - did not attempt drying off coat due to behavior and patient appearing stable - include wet food in diet - medically okay to PUFA
