8/10/2025 Dog was closed outside for cleaning. On approach, dog had soft body, gentle wagging tail. No interest in treats. Initially pulled away from leash, but after sniffing it for a few moments, allowed easy leash placement. Walked with light/moderate pull, somewhat erratically, needing some direction. In yard, dog explored with loose body language, wagging tail. Responded to name "Max." Did not always approach when called, but allowed handler to approach several times. Allowed petting; some brief skin crawling but would relax quickly. Sniffed treats but did not take. Moderate pull on return. Sniffed barking dogs in nearby kennels but did not engage. Entered kennel easily, then quickly turned and attempted to push out. Handler kept gate mostly closed and was able to remove leash by hand. *Potential adopters should be counseled on proper dog introductions as well as be prepared to feed this dog separately from any other pets, due to OS notes regarding resource guarding at meal time.* 08/26/25 15:01 RP- Adding Older Children recommendation due to reactivity to child while in kennel.

8/9/2025 Anxious, going back and forth on the leash, solicited attention, but went back and forth on leash, moderate restraint for vaccines, walked to kennel with no issues.
