12/19/2025 Dog was standing with forward body, alarm barking, low growling, pupils dialted, tense, as handler was approaching end of hallway near kennel. Handler offered treats to neighboring dog and stood near kennel so dog could settle for a moment before handler approached. Dog continued barking as handler stood nearby; handler approached and spoke softly to dog as dog stood with forward body, dialted pupils, tense, lunging at front. Handler tossed treats over top of kennel and dog chased and ate them. Handler spent a moment tossing treats and kennel flirting; dog settled. Assistant handler approached from down hallway; at sight of assistant handler (familiar with this dog), dog began wagging tail nub and staring softly at assistant handler. Handler presented leash for dog to sniff through kennel; dog sniffed with soft expression but had frantic energy. Handler cracked door and attempted to leash; dog was hesitant with leash; would pause and stare at handler with focused stare; after a moment of attempting to cast loop over dog's head, handler lured dog's head through leash using treats offered from hand; dog ate treats by hand. Dog exited kennel with mild pull; somewhat interested in dogs in passing; pulled hard at end of leash out of hallway. Dog had high energy while walking out of building and into yard; slightly mouthy with leash in front of face. Once in yard, handler attached extended leash and dropped leash; dog sniffed around yard while assistant handler sat on bench and handler stood nearby. Dog approached assistant handler, sitting eagerly at assistant handler's feet; allowed petting all over; jumped gently into lap and curled face into assistant handler. Handler sat down on bench and dog solicited attention from handler in the same manner; rubbed against handler's legs, allowed petting all over. Unfamiliar male mainenance staff walked on other side of fence and dog became tense; ran at fence alarm barking as man passed by; disengaged easily and came back to handlers; soliciting a lot of attention and receiving pets. Handler stood to walk towards exit and dog got zoomies; running full speed towards handler but didn't jump on handler. Handler picked up leash; dog would attempt to mouth at leash when directly in face, but ignored when leash was behind head. Dog pulled strongly passed dogs, pulled to kennels to sniff as dogs reacted heavily but did not engage; handler shortened leash and walked dog back to kennel; removed leash by hand using treats.
