5/3/2026 dog didnt eat

5/1/2026 Dog was at front of kennel, whining, demand barking, pawing at gate. Easy to leash. Walked with light pull, some stop and go to sniff. Handler began adjusting leash stopper, dog turned and jumped up against handler, soft face but whining, lightly mouthing handler's arm, applying minimal pressure and easy to direct off. No issues on rest of way to play yard. Dog ran around in yard, appearing to pace along fence, whining. Approached handler frequently to seek attention, jumped up, allowed all petting. Would become mouthy on hands and arms with minimal pressure, and would nibble front teeth on handler's treat bag. Took treats gently from hand. Did not fully settle and would stand near gate, whining, wagging tail. When handler approached to retrieve leash, dog became evasive and would dart away from handler. Body language remained loose. Handler was able to lure dog back over with treat bag, then step on leash to retrieve. Light pull on return. When approaching door to kennel wing, dog began pulling back on leash, rising to hind legs and lightly whipping head. Dog would grab leash in mouth and begin chewing it. Handler walked dog away. Dog settled, leaning in for petting. Handler attempted to lead dog into building again to same result; dog was thrashing back, chewing leash. No interest in treats. Second handler arrived and closed indoor kennel gate as well as divider. First handler walked dog around to back half. Dog pulled back at kennel gate. Second handler tossed treats into kennel, dog stepped in. Allowed leash removal by hand.

Once in yard dog was affiliative with handler, soft body and wagging tail, front paws on lap, allowed petting all over. Sat for treats, took gently, muzzled treat pouch soliciting more treats. Approached fence as another dog was walking by, high wagging tail, sniffed along fence line, remained calm, returned to handler when called. Offered various toys but dog was not interested. Followed handler around yard, allowed more pets. Able to pick up leash, walked with little pull back to kennel, once again alarm barked with tense body and hackles raised walking past reactive dogs but did not attempt to fully interact, hesitant to enter kennel, pulled back and bit leash when trying to coax in, handler tossed in hot dogs, dog followed, able to remove leash by hand.
