2/9/2026 Loose/ wiggly posture on approach, dog greeted and handler and sniffed hand with wiggly posture, QAR on approach began demand barking with time and pawing at glass. Placing Purple due to kennel presence and intake notes.
2/7/2026 Dog had a soft wiggly body. allowed all handling and scanning. Loaded onto truck without issue, dog walks well on leash.

2/13/2026 02/13/26 13:27 Radiographs (unsedated) - craniodorsal luxation of the L femoral head from the L coxofemoral joint. A: L hip luxation - ddx. trauma P: 1. Continue treatment with carprofen as prescribed. 2. Gabapentin (100mg capsule) - 1 capsule PO BID x 10 days. 3. Dog is not suitable to PUFA/ foster. Dog needs outlet with NH Partner for full workup and surgery. Dog is at risk of humane euthanasia on 2/20/26 if no outlet is found by COB on 2/19/26, but may be humanely euthanized earlier if QOL declines. nhilde
2/12/2026 per volunteer: Miranda is limping on her left rear paw. Left rear hip is a bit out of place.
2/12/2026 02/12/26 16:45 Targeted exam S/O: Gen - BAR, BCS 4/9, active, playful EENT - Eyes clear and free of discharge/redness. Nose clean and free of discharge. External ears are free of discharge/redness. H/L/MM - Normal respiratory rate and effort. No coughing or sneezing. No stertor, no stridor. Mucous membranes pink and moist with CRT<2s. INTEG - Coat is clean and clear of redness and ectoparasites. NEURO - Normal mentation. M/S - Intermittently non weight bearing and intermittently grade 3 lame on LHL. Readily runs and plays out in yard. Sensitive upon manipulation of LH hip - full exam not performed. Brief palpation of femur distal to hip doesn't reveal any obvious injuries. A: - abnormal bony prominence in region of left hip, LHL lameness: r/o old/chronic injury to femoral head vs old luxation vs other P: - continue carprofen - plan for sedated radiographs at time of OVH as previously scheduled
2/8/2026 02/08/26 17:48 P is BAR, very friendly on exam; BCS: 4/9 Dental: grade 0/4 Cardio/Resp: Heart rate and rhythm normal; no murmurs auscultated. Normal bronchovesicular lung sounds auscultated in bilateral lung fields; eupneic with no nasal discharge GI: Great appetite; no stool in kennel Musc/Skel: Left hind limb angular lateral deviation. Weight-bearing overall but intermittently holds up limb - lameness grade: 1-2/5; no pain elicited on palpation, flexion, or extension with no medial buttress appreciated Urogenital: Intact female- no spay scar or tattoo visible Other systems: NSF on brief exam A: - Intermittent mild LHL lameness with lateral angular limb deviation- r/o conformational variant vs early orthopedic disease P: - Pelvic and hind limb radiographs at time of spay surgery for further evaluation - Carprofen 75mg - Give 1 tablet PO SID x 7 days
